ALTAR
ALTAR is a temporary outdoor table system developed by AACM for TERRAFORMAE’s space during Milan Design Week.
The project was born from a specific need: creating a flexible and easily transportable outdoor table by reinterpreting an existing material resource. A batch of imperfect Corso bricks, a product of TERRAFORMAE’s parent company S. Anselmo, was transformed into a new architectural object.
The system is composed of cubic modules on wheels, allowing the elements to be pre-assembled and moved directly on site. Through a simple assembly logic, the modules create an adaptable structure that responds to the specific requirements of the space.
ALTAR is a context-driven solution that transforms manufacturing imperfections into a temporary architectural element.
