TT x Triennale Milano
As part of the international exhibition “A Journey Into Biodiversity – Eight Forays on Planet Earth”, curated by Telmo Pievani, Terraformæ collaborated with designer Davide Biancucci to create TT, a site-specific bench that bridges tradition and innovation through the timeless medium of terracotta.
The piece offers a contemporary reinterpretation of the double-T beam, one of the most iconic structural forms in our built heritage, reimagined in one of the oldest and most symbolic construction materials. Its design incorporates the reinforcing partitions typical of bricks, enhancing both strength and stability while establishing a visual and material dialogue between the two references.
Conceived as a modular installation, TT is composed of adjoining elements fastened at their ends, forming a bench that welcomes visitors along the exhibition path and embodies, through its very materiality, a narrative that weaves together past and present.
