To achieve the effect of a Venetian terrazzo, clay is not the most suitable material. No wonder no one has ever made it: the addition of other materials easily causes it to crack. Using scraps from the processing of other materials, such as glass and rhyolite, Sveva Bizzotto succeeded in transferring an unusual terrazzo effect onto a terracotta tile with a playful and delicate appearance, while still respecting the original material.
