POTORO
How can terracotta be coloured without hiding the imperfect beauty of its surface? Sveva Bizzotto has answered this question with the Potoro collection, which uses a well-known technique but rethinking its areas of application with a different function.
Normally, the potoro technique is used to unify the colour of bricks from different production batches, using very fine inorganic pigments that can be absorbed by the terracotta after firing. Now the idea is applied in a more elegant way to tiles that are coloured with a watercolour effect. By innovating a well-known technique, the material unleashes an unprecedented and fascinating potential.
