Villa Modda
Located in the countryside, just a few minutes from Noto, this private residence transforms an old ruin through a carefully measured intervention by architects Depaolidefranceschibaldan, blending traditional materials with contemporary details in harmony with the surrounding landscape.
At the heart of the house, a bright yellow monolith clad in Cretto, designed by the architects specifically for this project, houses the kitchen on one side and opens onto the living area on the other, serving as the home’s central architectural element.
In this project, Cretto finds its origin and ideal placement: created for this villa, its colors are inspired by the warm tones of the Val di Noto. It was later added to the Terraformæ catalog, maintaining its tactile quality and its ability to enrich the space with rhythm, texture, and warmth.
